Living Space acquires Newdawn & Sun
Glazing Bar and Canopy manufacturer Living Space are pleased to announce the acquisition of Newdawn and Sun. The business of Newdawn will be integrated into Living Space’s Corby factory and the two product lines will be run side by side making the new company probably the largest supplier of glazing bars and roofing systems to the trade.
Managing Director of Living Space Andrew Lucas claimed: “The product range of Newdawn has always been highly regarded in the marketplace and by adding it onto the current Living Space range we now have a portfolio that can satisfy all our customers’ needs”.
In addition to the Glazing Bar range Living Space will now offer the Sunwood Timber supported roof system as well as the Newdawn conservatory roof to fabricators and stockists. “The purchase of the Newdawn Conservatory Roof gives us another string to our bow. It is technically advanced yet simple to manufacture and install and is one of the best roof systems available.
The two companies have a lot in common, both companies starting life as family run businesses as well as sharing a commitment to building strong relationships with both customers and suppliers. In order to ease the integration of the two companies Living Space are pleased to announce that a number of Newdawn employees including Steve Marshall (Technical Support Executive) have joined the company and will operate out of Corby. In addition, Living Space have made further additions to its team including the appointment of Lee Dowson as a new Field Sales Executive.
